Fortune smiled on this year's Christmas Festival in Rhiwbina Village, with the threatened downpours staying away and just a few showers making a short appearance. Rhiwbeina Primary School helping to mind the Sycamore Gap

Christmas memorial service at crematorium
There will be an ecumenical Christmas Memorial Service at the Wenallt Chapel at Thornhill Crematorium in Rhiwbina on Sunday 30 November at 11.30am. The 45-minute service, conducted by Rev Jason Tugwell, will include readings, poems and carols, with Deborah Morgan Lewis leading the singing. Everyone is welcome to attend. Tree planting dates for Rhiwbina and North Cardiff
There will be more tree-planting events in Rhiwbina and other parts of North Cardiff over the coming weeks and months, as part of Cardiff Council’s ‘Coed Caerdydd’ urban forest project.
