Velindre Hospital is holding two community workshops at 10 am on both Friday 17 and Saturday 18 April to discuss the future of the former Whitchurch Hospital site.

Velindre University NHS Trust became the legal owner of the hospital buildings and land in November 2024, following a transfer from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. In October 2025, interested parties were invited to express their interest in the property as part of the sale process
Velindre Matters, the Facebook page which provides updates on the site, states the workshops are "part of Velindre’s ongoing commitment to keeping the community informed and involved as plans for the site progress".
Feedback from the workshops will be compiled in a report which will be made publicly available and provided to any potential future developers.
Spaces for the events are limited and booking is advised as essential: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/.../whitchurch-hospital...
