Road closures and parking advice for Blackweir gigs

A series of summer concerts at Bute Park gets under way this week (Wednesday 24 June), which means road closures along a section of North Road and surrounding streets from 4pm until midnight.

The following concerts will take place at Blackweir Live this summer:

Wednesday 24 June - The Cure

Friday 26 June - Teddy Swimms

Tuesday 30 June – Lewis Capaldi

Wednesday 1 July – Lewis Capaldi

Saturday 4 July – Pit Bull.

The following roads will be closed between 4pm until midnight:

• Castle Street from the junction with Westgate Street

• Duke Street and Kingsway

• North Road from the junction with Colum Road down to Boulevard De Nantes

• Boulevard De Nantes to the junction with Park Place (Buses have access via Park Place / Boulevard De Nantes and onto The Friary to gain access to Greyfairs Road)

• Cowbridge Road East from Cathedral Road through to the junction, with Westgate Street with access to Westgate Street permitted.

There will be event parking at both Sophia Gardens and the Civic Centre and a taxi pick-up and drop-off point and cycle parking at the Civic Centre.
