A popular Rhiwbina pub and hotel has come on the market for an asking price of £6.25 million.
The Mason's Arms in Ty’n-y-Parc Road includes the Toby Carvery restaurant, seating up to 200, and the Travelodge, with 52 bedrooms.

The 1.8-acre plot also contains staff accommodation and a car park.
Hotel Owner reports that Christie and Co, which is managing the sale, describes the property as a “mixed hotel and leisure” investment opportunity, providing stable rental income over the long term.
It added that the site presents opportunities for future development as well as conversion for alternative purposes, subject to planning permission.
Although sometimes described as being in Whitchurch, the site is in the ward of Rhiwbina (with Whitchurch being west of the A470).
As we reported, last summer the pub closed for refurbishment, and the previous year it was earmarked for Cardiff's local heritage list.
Although most of the buildings are modern, parts of the pub date from 1871 or earlier.
The earliest mention of the Masons’ Arms comes from 17 January 1871 in The Western Mail.
The Ordnance Survey map of 1886 (surveyed 1874 to 1881) shows that the Masons’ Arms was built on the site of the homestead and gardens of Cwmgwynlas. There's more information about the sale on the Hotel Owner site.
