Italian bistro and deli wins approval

Plans to open an Italian bistro-style restaurant and deli in the former Little People Store in Rhiwbina village have been given the go-ahead.

We first reported on the proposal in August and last month shared the news that of the then received 36 public responses, only 3 objected to the development.

Cardiff Council has now granted full planning permission for the change of use.

Several conditions have to be met, including noise mitigation measures, use of the front external seating area for eating or drinking only between 9am and 9pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 9pm on Sunday, and the provision of secure, covered cycle parking.

Work has already begun in redeveloping the premises.
