Tour de France route shows where the race will pass Rhiwbina
Race organisers, Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), have this week revealed the full route for the 2027 Tour de France, which will pass Rhiwbina as it nears the end of stage three on Sunday 4 July.

The route, unveiled yesterday (Thursday 22 October), shows that the riders will go down Thornhill Road, passing between Rhiwbina and Llanishen on Caerphilly Road, before reaching Gabalfa roundabout.
They will then head west on the A48, Western Avenue, past Tesco Extra and Cardiff Met, before turning down Cardiff Road, Penhill Road, and Cathedral Road, past Llandaff Fields and Sophia Gardens.
The riders then pass Cardiff Castle and finish on North Road, near Cardiff Central Police Station.

The 2027 Tour de France begins in Edinburgh on Friday 2 July with an opening stage through Midlothian, Dumfries & Galloway, and the Scottish Borders to Carlisle.
Stage two on Saturday 3 July restarts in Cumberland at Keswick, heading south through Westmorland & Furness and Lancashire to a finish alongside Liverpool’s waterfront.
Stage three of the men’s race takes place in Wales on Sunday 4 July, heading from Welshpool in Powys to a finish in Cardiff, via the tough climbs of Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Caerphilly.
Chris Weaver, leader of Cardiff Council, said: "The Tour de France is one of the world's most iconic spectacles, attracting more spectators than any other annual sporting event and drawing millions of fans to its route each year.
"Hosting the finish of the final stage of the Grand Départ in Cardiff will be a historic occasion for our capital city, as this is the first time the Tour has come to Wales.
"Being part of this global event will place Cardiff firmly in the international spotlight once again, helping to boost the local economy, support jobs and showcase everything our city has to offer.
"The benefits will extend well beyond race day, bringing communities together and creating a lasting legacy for future generations. We are proud to play our part in this major event and look forward to welcoming competitors, supporters and visitors to Cardiff in July 2027."
