Rhiwbina councillor Jayne Cowan has started a month-long challenge to walk 50 miles in June for Dementia UK.
She started the challenge on Saturday (1 June) in memory of her dad, Bob.
"This is such an important charity to me and my family, as two members of my family have been severely touched by this dreadful illness," she said.
"I'm doing the walk to raise funds and awareness so people can access the services run by Dementia UK. So, if anyone has a spare pound or so, please sponsor me and also share the message.
"I'm not the fittest person, as many will know, but I'm going to do my very best to smash that target of 50 miles and to raise money and awareness for such a great cause"
.
Last month, Jayne marked 25 years as a Cardiff councillor for Rhiwbina and Pantmawr. You can sponsor her here.
⛰️ Meanwhile, our premium partner Lisa Curtis is also on the fundraising trail, aiming to complete the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge for Shelter Cymru.
