Do you know anything about the history of this local cottage?
The owner of Bwlch Cottage, Rhiwbina Hill, Tongwynlais, has contacted us to ask if anyone can help with his research.
“I’ve recently embarked on a refurbishment project on a cottage dating back to the 1600s and I’m finding it incredibly difficult to obtain any history on the property,” Andrew Wilkinson told us.
“I wondered if you would be able to access any information or support in my quest for information.”

Andrew knows that it was previously owned by Gwillym Jones and later his son Gwillym Jones (Rolly) from approximately 1958 to 2018 where the property was run as a market garden.
Apart from that, the cottage’s history remains a mystery to its owner.
