Some of the team behind the award-winning Rhiwbina short film Annalium 8: Sssss have today (Wednesday 12 March) announced a new animation project.
The animated film will be a Victorian fantasy drama, featuring a journalist, Henry Godliman, who investigates strange phenomena. It is dubbed "a tale of the fantastical and bizarre".

Godliman will be voiced by Robert Daws – a familiar TV face from his leading roles in award-winning and long-running series, including Jeeves and Wooster, Casualty, The House of Eliott and Outside Edge, for which he was nominated best actor in the British Comedy awards.
He has also played major roles in Poldark, Roger Roger, Holby City, Doc Martin, New Tricks, Midsomer Murders, The Royal, Death in Paradise, Father Brown, Agatha Raisin, and Sister Boniface Mysteries.

Joining him in the cast will be Francesca Louise White, who starred in Annalium 8: Sssss, Richard Oliver, and Samantha Hudson.
The script is by our own Andy Weltch and award-winning Rhiwbina-born-and-raised writer Robert Lancey, adapted from Andy's story.
It will be directed by acclaimed Cardiff-based animator Matthew Creed.
🎬 Meanwhile, Annalium 8: Sssss has been selected for screening at another festival. It will be shown at Bedford Independent Film Festival on Saturday 12 April.
Filmed locally, you may have seen the film at Monico Movies or at another local screening, but if you missed it, you can now watch it online here.
