Juboraj brings award back to Wales

Congratulations are in order once again to Rhiwbina village's Juboraj Restaurant for receiving another major award.

While other businesses may come and go, the Juboraj has been a mainstay of Rhiwbina life for 36 years, offering quality Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine and friendly, efficient customer service.

The Curry Life 2025 Awards took place on Sunday (12 October) at a ceremony, attended by over 500 people and hosted by ITV broadcaster Nina Hossain, at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in Mayfair, London.

The awards, a hallmark of the British curry industry, are in their 17th year. The event is an annual celebration which recognises the exceptional chefs, takeaways and restaurants setting high standards in the trade and wider culinary sector.

A total of 39 Awards were presented nationally this year in different categories, with the Juboraj awarded the Editor's Choice of the Year.

Guests at the awards ceremony included Lord Karan Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer, the event’s headline sponsor, Stephanie Peacock, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Department for Culture, Media and Sport) and MPs Rushanara Ali, Mike Woods, Wendy Morton, and Ben Obese-Jecty.

In last year's Curry Life Awards, another local restaurant, Celebrities in Birchgrove, was the only winner from Wales.
