Residents of Rhiwbina are delighted at Transport for Wales's (TfW) confirmation of a long-awaited, hourly Sunday service between Coryton and Penarth starting on 14 December.
The December timetable will introduce the new service, and a wider range of changes across the network, as part of the South Wales Metro developments.
This is an extension of the existing Cardiff-Penarth services and marks the first time TfW trains will run on a Sunday on the Coryton line.

It means people will have to be vigilant when using pedestrian level crossings on the Coryton line, specifically at Ty Glas and Caedelyn Park/Whitchurch as trains will now be running on Sunday where they previously didn't.
For full details and to plan your journey, check before you travel by visiting www.tfw.wales and entering your journey details for any date from 14 December.
