Cardiff awarded £20 million under Pride in Place Strategy

Cardiff North residents are being urged to respond to a survey on how UK Government funding should be spent in the city.

The Pride in Place Strategy is the UK Government's plan to create safer, healthier neighbourhoods where communities can thrive. It proposes a step change in how communities across the country are supported, providing long-term funding in the most disadvantaged areas.

An extra £2 million per year for the next ten years will be invested to support residents in Cardiff improving local facilities, backing community groups, creating jobs and addressing community safety.

Another £2 million per year will be provided in the Rhondda Cynon Taf local authority area) including nearby Taffs Well and Nantgarw.

Cardiff North MP, Anna McMorrin, said "The most important question now is how the money should be spent. I want to make sure every pound goes to the things that matter most to residents, whether that's better facilities for young people, cleaner streets, support for small businesses, or improvements to our award-winning parks and green spaces."

"It should be you who sets the priorities. That's why I'm opening this community survey and urging as many people as possible to take part."
