A Welsh charity is asking people to support its campaign to tackle the cost-of-living crisis and help prevent homelessness in Wales.
Shelter Cymru wants people throughout Wales to email their MP to ask them to call on the UK government to take action to stop people losing their homes.
“We are in a housing emergency,” the charity says. “We know we need more social housing in the longer term but the Government can act now to unfreeze housing benefit, make private renting more affordable and reduce growing waiting list demand.”
Shelter Cymru has made it easy to take part – simply follow this link, fill in your details and the website identifies your MP (for most of us in Rhiwbina and surrounding areas, that’s Anna McMorrin) and even creates the message for you to edit if you wish and send.
Shelter Cymru is calling for more social housing and more protections for renters.
