Road closures for running and cycling events

With thousands of runners expected to take part in the Brecon Carreg Cardiff 10k and the final phase of the Lloyds Tour of Britain finishing in Cardiff on Sunday (7 September), there will be a series of road closures in the city.

The Cardiff 10k starts at 10am, so there will be a rolling road closure from 9am until 1pm along the route to facilitate the race.

There will be further road closures from 3am to 6pm to prepare for and facilitate the last leg of the Tour of Britain, when North Cardiff's own Olympic champion and Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas will be competing in his last professional cycle race.

You can find full details of the road closures and advice on travel options on the Cardiff Council website here.
