Due to the current lockdown restrictions, the Rhiwbina Event’s Team has decided to throw an ‘Alternative’ Summer Festival again this year, writes Sophie Platt.
Taking place throughout July and August, the festival will feature several events for the whole community to get involved in, including:
The Tallest Sunflower Competition
Street Bunting
“Scarecrows’ Wedding” – Tour of Village

One other event which is making a return from last year is the Best Dressed Shop Window competition. This event involves decorating a window in your house, or business, and submitting it. Keep an eye on the One Rhiwbina social media pages for updates regarding this event!
After the success of last year’s Scarecrow Walk, Rhiwbina Events is teaming up with Word of Mouth Maintenance again this year for another Scarecrow Walk.
This event involved members of Rhiwbina creating and displaying a scarecrow (or other character) outside their home. A map was then produced so that anyone within the community could see and vote on the best scarecrow. This event was a huge success, which is why it has been brought back for another year.
