As many of you will know, at the weekend, the Rhiwbina Events Team hosted the Rhiwbina Festival, writes Sophie Platt. On Saturday 1st July, we headed down to see what was on offer at the festival.
The festival started on Friday 30th June with ‘Bands in the Park’ which ran from 5pm until 9pm at Parc y Pentre. They had Pigs Ear playing at 6pm, and Bayside Boogieman playing at 7pm, with food and drink on offer all night! It was such a lovely evening, not even the rain put a damper on the event.
Saturday brought ‘Family Fun’ to Rhiwbina from 11am until 5pm. There was food and drink available, different stalls from those selling products to those promoting support, such as the Scouts. They also had fair rides for children which were a hit! Performers were on stage all day keeping the growing crowd happy and entertained.
It was amazing to see so many people gathered in Rhiwbina enjoying the sunshine and entertainment together. A lot of people at the festival wondered into the village and visited some of the shops, The Little People Store even had a candy floss machine!

The Rhiwbina Festival was the perfect day out for the family. The Rhiwbina Event Team did a fantastic job planning the weekend, and provided entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. I can’t wait for next year already. You can watch our reel of the day on our Instagram page by clicking here.
