Memorial trees are attacked again

Memorial trees, planted outside All Saints Church, Rhiwbina, as part of the Orchard Project, have been stolen for a second time.

We reported recently that the stolen trees were being replaced, thanks to donations from local businesses.

Now those replacements have been taken or destroyed.

Rhiwbina councillor and Assembly candidate, Jayne Cowan, commented: “To say I’m disappointed, upset and annoyed is an understatement. Thanks to everyone who has said they would donate to purchase additional trees.

“I will also be organising a fundraising event to ensure all memorial trees are refunded.”
