Forget Coachella, Rhiwbina Summer Festival is where it's at

And that's a wrap on the Rhiwbina Village 2025 Summer Festival.

Despite the unpredictable weather, the two-day day community festival (20-21 June) was a huge success attracting many hundreds of visitors from and to the village.

Friday night's music fest was very well attended and, despite the lager running out at one vendor early in the evening, the crowds still managed to eat, drink and be merry, with great musical performances resulting in spontaneous dancing in the park.

Spirits weren't dampened by several downpours on the Saturday. The Rhiwbina Festival Choir, sponsored by Suburban, were the opening act on the morning singing "Here comes the sun" as the rain began!

But fortunately the sun did appear a little later which gave attendees the chance to visit the 40 stalls of charities, gifts and refreshments.

Sadly Bonehenge, the much anticipated dog show, was cancelled due to concerns about the "too hot" weather for our furry friends, but there was so much more to do. A central arena was filled with sporting activities for children, creative workshops were popular and face painting as usual drew the crowds.

Another triumph for the Rhiwbina Events team and a great weekend for the residents of the village.
