Aldi proposes new store off Caerphilly Road

Aldi, the award-winning discount food retailer, is preparing a proposal to redevelop a plot of vacant land off Caerphilly Road.

It would be the first Aldi store in this part of Cardiff, although there is a popular Lidl store a few hundred metres away.

The proposed site has been vacant for many years, and is currently fenced off and overgrown.

Aldi says the new store would provide around 40 jobs long-term, as well as employment through the construction.

Aldi is contacting local residents to seek views, and is holding a public exhibition on 16 June, 2pm-6pm, at St Andrews Methodist Church Hall, Caerphilly Road, CF14 4AE.

The proposal can be seen here.

You can contact Aldi on 0800 298 7040 or feedback@ consultattion-online.co.uk for more information.
