Rhiwbina Info’s success in the 2020 Cardiff and South Wales Prestige Awards has been recognised in the official publication.
The special magazine, produced by award organisers Corporate LiveWire, features a full page about us as winners of the Information Platform of the Year category.
There was due to be an award ceremony in Cardiff, but this could not take place due to the pandemic.
The judges were particulalry impressed by our regular updates and our activity on social media, especially during the current coronavirus pandemic.
They also highlighted the testimonials from local residents and concluded: “Rhiwbina Info stood out above the rest for the chosen category.”
The magazine also features Rhiwbina’s Nest in a feature on the best places to buy gifts in and around Cardiff, and it profiles our sister business, the local communications consultancy, Weltch Media, which won the Public Relations Company of the Year award.
For the last 16 years, Corporate Live Wire has been awarding national and international awards, and in 2019 it introduced regional awards to recognise smaller, independent businesses that are particularly successful and hard working on a local level.
Rhiwbina Info was established in 2013, taking over from the Rhiwbina Local site, created by local couple Emily and Nigel. The small team at Weltch Media revamped the site, including the introduction of the popular events calendar, and has built up its social media presence on Twitter and Facebook.
The site is currently managed by Sophie Platt and Andrew Weltch.
