The play area in a North Cardiff park is set to be improved.
The improvement works at Maitland Park in Gabalfa will include:
New play equipment,
New safety surfacing,
New seating.
New litter bins.
The play area will close to the public from next Monday (7 October) and work is expected to take about six weeks, subject to weather conditions and any unforeseen circumstances.
Cardiff Council cabinet member Jennifer Burke, said: "Access to good quality, local outdoor play facilities is really important, and I'm sure these upgraded facilities will be welcomed by families living locally".
The council says it makes every effort not to carry out improvements to play areas during school holidays, but limited contractor availability means that in order for the work to be completed before next spring, the play area will be closed during the coming October half-term.
