If you’re fit, love Welsh cakes, and want to help Shelter Cymru in its fight against homelessness and poor housing, the Castles and Cathedrals ‘Monster Ride‘ could be for you.
The 80-mile ride on July 16 starts and finishes in Cardiff and takes in more than 5,800 feet of ascent, as the course runs up the Rhondda Valley, including the Bwlch mountain.
The route then drops down to the coast, past three castles, with stunning views across the Bristol Channel, before winding its way home through the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan.
There are Welsh cakes and more at each food stop.
The event raises money for Shelter Cymru, which helps thousands of people each year across Wales who are affected by the housing emergency.
