MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL 2: HYSTERICAL TAKE ON ‘THE CHANGE’

Menopause The Musical 2: Cruising Through Menopause is the hysterical sequel to the popular show Menopause The Musical.

Set five years later, the show follows the same four characters as they venture on a cruise together to reminisce about love and losses as well as chatting about the effects of ‘the change’.

The show, which opened at New Theatre, Cardiff last night (Wednesday 16 March) not only focuses on the struggles of the menopause, but also highlights the importance of friendship.

Hot flushes and mood swings aren’t the stars of the show though. TV star Crissy Rock, Casualty star Rebecca Wheatley, Eurovision Song Contest Contestant Nicki French, and musical theatre star Susie Fenwick join together to show the audience that the menopause is nothing to be scared about, and to embrace it. Although it is a small cast, the energy they bring is electric.

Along with jokes, and a sweet story about friendship, this show will also have you laughing and dancing to the various creative song parodies, all linked to menopause and its elements.

Although this production may be aimed at older women, I can assure you that the show is fun for the adults of all ages to enjoy. It will have you and your friends in hysterics, and finding aspects of the play to relate to life.

Menopause the Musical 2: Cruising Through Menopause is directed and choreographed by Belinda Murphy. It is running at The New Theatre from Wednesday 16th March to Friday 19th March. Tickets are available from the box office on 0343 310 0041, or you can purchase them online by clicking here.
