The Wine Store at No 4 (Beulah Road) has sent us this latest news:

AmByth Estate arriving Monday

The Wine Store at No 4 will soon be listing AmByth Estate wines from Paso Roble in southern California, albeit in “minuscule quantities”. Initially they are listing their Mourvedre and Sangiovese/Tempranillo Estate wines which will both retail at £39.95 and their Grenache Blanc and Pricus are (currently) available by pre-order.

Trefethen Estate Dragon’s Tooth returns


If you remember, the Malbec based Dragon’s Tooth which No 4 listed a month ago, you may like to know  there’s some landing in Southampton very soon and No 4 has been offered an allocation of 24 bottles. It should arrive in-store week commencing 7th December but you can pre-order by contacting the shop. The bottle price remains at £41.95 and there will be a restriction of two bottles per person.


World of Wine Dinner

A few tables are still available for the last World of Wine Dinner of 2015, on Saturday 5th December. Four courses each served with food-matching wine including 2009 Puisseguin Saint-Emillion with Lamb Ossobucco, Pouilly-Fume with goat’s cheese tart and Kir Royale on arrival. Tickets are £55 per person fully inclusive with a deposit of £25 payable to secure your reservation.

This Saturday (November 28th), for the Rhiwbina Village Winter Festival, the shop will have its ‘wine bar’ open all day from mid-day, serving a selection of wine and beer by the glass, and a warming port-filled chocolate cups.
