The Welsh care regulator and inspectorate Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) has changed its name to Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
Care providers’ registration will not be affected by the change of name and any paperwork or documentation with CSSIW written on it it will continue to be valid.
The inspectorate will update its forms and guidance to include the new name in the coming weeks.
Previously published documents such as inspection reports will not be changed and will retain the CSSIW branding.
Last year, Chief Inspector Gillian Baranski announced at the Association of Directors of Social Services (ADSS) Cymru conference that the inspectorate would be changing its name to Care Inspectorate Wales.
The inspectorate’s telephone number remains the same at 0300 7900 126, and all its email addresses will continue to work. However, you can now contact it at email@example.com
its website and social media channels have been updated to reflect the new name. You can now reach it at www.careinspectorate.wales or www.arolygiaethgofal.cymru, follow the inspectorate on Twitter at @care_wales or @arolygu_gofal, or on Facebook at facebook.com/careinspectoratewales or facebook.com/arolygugofal
The CSSIW website address will continue to work, but will point to the new website.
