It’s time to donate any unwanted musical instruments you may have lying around – to give them a new lease of life with Instruments for Kids.
Today (November 20) is the start of Music Instrument Amnesty Week – a Welsh Government pilot to encourage people all over Wales to donate their unused instruments to children and schools where there is need for extra provision.
The drop-off points nearest to us are:
- Cardiff: (20th-24th) The Friary Centre
- Caerphilly: (20th-24th) Penallta House, Gilfach Fargoed Primary School & Rhymney Comprehensive School
- Newport: (20th-24th) Malpas Court Primary School Grounds
The idea of Instruments for Kids is to gather up any instruments found in attics, garages and the backs of cupboards and distribute them through local authorities to children and schools where there is a need for music provision.
