Cardiff’s New Theatre reports it has already exceeded record sales for its pantomime, Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, which opens this weekend (Saturday 9 December).
The production, which stars Samantha Womack, Gareth Thomas, Mike Doyle, Chico, Tam Ryan and Stephanie Webber, has seen exceptional demand, with only limited availability now for performances before Christmas.
Samantha Womack is best-known for her role in EastEnders as the late Ronnie Mitchell, whose chilling on-screen departure was seen by over nine million television viewers last Christmas. Having appeared on numerous television dramas and comedies, including, Game On, Home Again, and The Grimleys, and films including Up ’n’ Under and Lighthouse Hill she has established herself as one of the country’s most prolific actresses. Her stage work includes the role of Sandy in the West End revival of Grease at the Dominion Theatre, and most recently as Morticia Addams in the UK tour of The Addams Family.
Grant McFarlane, general manager of the New Theatre said: “Christmas is always a special time of year at the New and we’re delighted so many people have already chosen to spend it with us. It’s fantastic to surpass last year’s total ticket sales before opening night. We look forward to welcoming many more people throughout the run, and back again in 2018 for our ever popular programme of theatre.”
Best availability for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is now after Christmas. For full details and to book tickets visit newtheatrecardiff.co.uk or call the Box Office on (029) 2087 8889. The show runs until Sunday 14 January.
