New shop sign – the old-fashioned way

New_shop_sign_2The latest Rhiwbina shop front to get a new sign is Ginger Whites in Beulah Road – and this is very different, as it’s done the old-fashioned way.

Signwriter Adrian Geach gave his computer a rest to return to using brushes and paint in order to gain a more traditional and authentic sign painting style.

He recently spent a week at the famous Carters Steam Fair, working with Toby Carter who paints all their fairground signs and rides by hand.

“We are over the moon with the finished sign,” said Jason from Ginger Whites. “It fits in exactly with the shop and ties in with our “look.”
