Inside peek: Vanity Rooms Salon and Spa
Today I visited Vanity Rooms, a new salon and spa that owner Charlotte McNeill opened in Rhiwbina last October. The salon is located conveniently in the centre of quaint Rhiwbina (parking available), but it oozes the glamour of a city centre salon.
The salon and spa uses Aveda products, and the staff have clearly been handpicked to ensure that Vanity Rooms can compete against other salons by offering experts in various areas, such as Great Lengths hair extensions and Aveda beauty treatments.
The one thing that stood out about Vanity Rooms is their dedication to making your visit an experience. On arrival I was greeted by smiling faces and offered a cup of caffeine-free Aveda tea whilst waiting for a detailed chat about my treatments. I had the incredibly relaxing Beauty on Demand facial and massage (full price £15), which can be carried out around your normal hair cut, followed by a cut and blowdry by Master Director Arran Glassar. Arran revived and styled my previously lifeless hair, and gave plenty of personalised tips – far from the many uninterested hairdressers that I’ve had the not-so pleasure of meeting.
Regardless of your treatment, you are offered two ‘rituals’ – a scalp and shoulder massage and a hand massage, again using gorgeous-smelling Aveda products. There’s also an opportunity to try out a selection of the Aveda make-up range, which can be a blessing after you’ve had a facial! I was also given printed information on the products used on my hair and skin, again adding to the spa-like experience.
If you’re looking for a quality hairdressers, then I highly recommend paying Vanity Rooms a visit. They can be contacted on 02920 618331 or on Twitter or Facebook. Alternatively, you can pop in and see them at 2 Heol Y Deri, Rhiwbina.
