The Great British Tennis Weekend is coming to Rhiwbina.
People of all ages and abilities across Britain are being invited to join Britain’s biggest summer of tennis, and Rhiwbina Tennis Club will be joining in on July 16-17.
Organised by the Lawn Tennis Association and Tennis Wales, the free events are aimed at encouraging men, women and children of all backgrounds to enjoy playing one of the nation’s most loved sports with friends and family, no matter what their ability.
The weekends form the biggest public tennis event ever held in Britain.
Rhiwbina TC is running free family time from noon to 1pm on both days, so you can get on court with your family and have some fun. The club will provide modified balls and rackets for the younger ones, and coaches will be on hand to give you some pointers if you want them.
“One of the great things about tennis is that anyone can play it, regardless of age or ability,” said Peter Drew, chief executive of Tennis Wales.
“Great British Tennis Weekends provide an opportunity for people to find out for themselves, as families and friends get together to try it for free in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.”
